12 Half Marathons in 12 Months Complete

One of my goals for 2012 was to complete a half marathon each month in 2012.  It wasn't always easy to find half marathons to run and initially I figured I could just run 13.1 on my own or with friends and count it.  Of course that was short lived as I decided it would be even more awesome to run an organized 1/2 marathon each month and have 12 finishers medals to show for it.

At the end of these 12 half marathons, I am incredibly happy to report that I achieved my goal of running a half marathon every month in 2012.  Oh, did I mention that I also ran a half marathon in December 2011 in Vegas?  So technically I have run a half marathon a month for the past 13 months.  I am also registered for the Rock N' Roll Arizona 1/2 in January 2013 so that will make it 14 half marathons in 14 months!  Not too shabby!!

Keep running, you're simply the best, and you inspire me!!

  2. Wow! That is seriously impressive! Living in Alaska is really putting a damper on being able to economically travel to races so I imagine I'll be running fewer instead of more half-marathons over the next couple of years.

Congrats on the new half-marathon PR!
