12 Miles Then and Now...

THEN:
January 31, 2010
Temperature: 17* (feels like 2* according to weather.com)
Running Gear: Underarmour tank top, Underarmour long sleeve shirt, lined Ashland University Women's Cross Country windbreaker, my "I feel like a ninja mask", Underarmour tights, Nike dry fit pants, Underarmour gloves, and socks, shoes, and my Garmin
Finish Time: 1:59.50 (9:59/mile)
Major Annoyance: icicles forming on my eyelashes.

NOW:
April 2, 2010
Temperature: 70* (feels like 70* according to weather.com)
Running Gear: Underarmour tank top, Nike Dry Fit capris, socks, shoes, Undearmour headband and my Garmin
Finish Time: 1:56.16 (9:36/mile)
Major annoyance: sweat running down my face and hitting the sidewalk in front of me.

Don't get me wrong, I loved running in the beautiful weather today, however, I think I should have left a little earlier since it was probably about 75* by the time I finished. Overall, it was a great run and my body seemed to adjust to switching my long run this week.

Keep running, you're simply the best, and you inspire me!!

  1. Hi Jodi! Isn't this weather crazy? I did my 20 miler yesterday, and should have started earlier too, but I'm glad it's done - yay! How many weeks till Cleveland?

  2. Wow- it was warmer where you live than at my house! And I live in the deep south! I will take the warm over that snowsuit you wore any day. Haah.

  3. Connie- Yes, this weather is crazy! I have 4 weeks until the Pittsburgh 1/2 and 6 weeks until the Cleveland Marathon...I can't believe how fast it has gone!!!

Rebecca- We ended up hitting 86* yesterday. I do believe it was warmer here than in Miami, FL as well! Go figure! We learn not to get our hopes up though because afterall it could snow on home opener for our baseball team (yes, it has happened before). I don't really enjoy running in my "snowsuit" and I will take tank top and capri/shorts weather any day!

Herana- If you have a blogger account you have access to the template at no cost.
